How we check SaaS prices
SaaS Price Check publishes 1,058 prices for 235 software tools. This page explains where each one comes from and what we do not do.
1. Only the official pricing page
Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page. We do not copy prices from resellers, review sites, other comparison sites or AI answers. The source link on each tool page goes to the page we used.
2. Captured from the United States
Many vendors show different prices by country. We capture every page from a U.S. connection and publish prices in the currency the page shows, normally U.S. dollars. Where a page loads its prices with JavaScript, we load it in a browser and switch its monthly and annual billing toggles so both rates are recorded.
3. Every number matched against the page
We save a dated copy of each page’s text. Plan names, prices, billing terms and limits are structured from that copy with software assistance, and then every price is checked automatically against the saved page text. Anything that does not match is held back until it is fixed.
4. Rules for unclear prices
- Custom quote: the vendor publishes no price for that plan. We never estimate one.
- Promotions (introductory or limited-time prices) are shown in their own column and never used as the list price or in team-cost totals.
- Billing term: “billed annually” means the monthly rate when you pay for a year up front. When the page does not say, we show no billing term rather than guess.
- Team costs are the listed seat price times the number of seats, using the annual-billing rate where the page lists one. Plans that limit team size show “—” outside their range. Taxes, add-ons and volume discounts are not included.
5. Dates and re-checks
The current data was checked between and . Each tool page shows its own date. Prices found to have changed on a later check are listed on the price changes page with both dates.
6. What we respect
We read each site’s robots.txt and skip pages it disallows, fetch one page at a time per site with pauses, and do not get around bot protection. Pages we cannot read that way are checked by hand or left out.
Corrections
If a price is wrong or out of date, tell us with the page address. We re-check against the vendor’s page and fix it.
